Television: Addiction

Today we find televisions in each and every house, not only houses but in huts also, people who work on a daily basis also, have a television in their house. Frankly speaking television has become a need; such a need that people can’t do without it. People from all walks of life watch television, a business man for business related issues and news, some for information and others for entertainment. People who have nothing to do also watch television and there are people who have made television their profession. But most of the time and in most of the places we find people, engaged watching television and doing nothing else. People have forgotten relations in the addiction of television. Earlier when back home people used to sit together with the family share with them good and bad, spend time with them. This used to bring together people and strengthen their relations. Now every ones back home from work and are looking for what? Remote, this has not only destroyed relations in th...

Earning Money: Good or Bad?

Money is an instrument that can be used for the good or for the bad of the people; it depends on the people who are using it, and for what they are using it. Now a days we hear lot of this stuff that money is bad, and most of us tend to think that, money degenerates people, and those who are wealthy are bad and have no ethical or moral values. But the fact is entirely different. Not all those who have money are bad, or have earned it by bad means, and not everyone who has no money is ethically or morally right. As long as we allow money to be our servant it can do wonders to you and to others, it leads to development and progress of the individuals in many ways. But if we become its slave then it takes us for a ride. If we can associate aright cause for earning and accumulating money then there is no harm in accumulating money or earning it. Your aim should be to earn ethically and morally what you need to fulfill the needs of yourself and of those dependent on you. And the rest of ...

Instant Life: No Patience

If we compare the present generation to the previous ones, the previous generation people were more patient than us. Reason, well there was no need for them to rush or hurry life was smooth and at ease. There were no ATM’s they had to stand in queue for everything, right from ration to the work in the bank. Anywhere and everywhere, they had to wait and wait to get things done. I believe may be this is one of the reasons that the people then had cultivated high tolerance levels and high patience levels. Today patience is a rare quality that we find in people. Today’s life itself is at a very fast pace and everything needs to be done instantly. There is n o time to lead life as life, today’s humans are just money making machines, they have time for anything else, half of the life is as it is over running after money, and the other half spending it on health. Instant is our life and in that instant, everything has to be instant, right from the coffee to the food fast food, in...

Role of Public Sector in Development

In a country like India, public sector has a larger role to play in the development of the country. When the public sector is transparent in its way of discharging duties and the people working in the public sector feel that they are the servants of the public, and have a feeling of serving them in the form of their duty. Country will progress and development will take place at a rapid pace. At present what we are seeing and experiencing is corrupt public sector not the system but because of the people who are working in the sector the public sector has become so. There are many departments and fields that are working in the public sector with the primary aim of development and progress. But even after so many years of freedom we are not able to become that which we should have, by now because of lack of sincerity and commitment from the people who are working in the public sector. The feeling of our country our people, and we are answerable to the public and we are here to serve ...

Role of commonmen in India’s Development

Most of us most of the time keep blaming the system and the politicians everything else but ourselves, for the lack of development, and for our position. The truth is that to some extent they are indeed responsible but, we as common citizens of India have a very important role to play, in the development of our nation. If we take the example of the cricket, the game we all love so much. A team wins only when each and every player gives his best, and when everyone has a common goal that is to emerge as a winning team. A team does not win, only when the captain plays well, but the team has a lot many chances to win when the whole team plays well, even if the captain fails to do so. This is what is happening to our country now, all the time we are blaming the politicians or others except ourselves for the present kind of situation, forgetting the fact that, we are also a part of a the same system and we too have duties to fulfill. When we exercise our fundamental duties, we have a ri...

Things to know about Decision Making

Every moment of our life we knowingly or unknowingly involve in decision making. Either for ourselves or for the ones we are concerned about. Decision making is a very important aspect of every one’s life. When decisions are to be made, there are so many aspects that need to be considered. There are some kinds of decisions that are made on a yes or no basis, should I do this or should not. This involves contemplation, and a bit of struggle. For example the ones involving Morals, should I drink alcohol or should I not. ? What if I consume alcohol? These decisions need to be made by assessing the pros and cons, what if I do, or what if I don’t? What will be the end result where will it lead me to? Then there are other kinds of decisions, where in you have lots of alternatives and choices. Do I need to buy a t. v or a mobile now, do I need it that badly, or do I have a necessity? Then once you come to a conclusion as to you need it or not. Once you make a decisio...
