Corruption Will Be the End of Indian Society

Corruption is so badly spread in the entire system, that it is hard to find, a sincere person and a clean department or field, where there is no corruption and where there are no corrupt people. If we observe the recent developments, in the political, judicial and other systems, there are many people who are arrested on the basis of corruption. Judges, politicians, IAS officers, even some people belonging to police department, enforcement and anti corruption also. What else, can we say about the rest of the people and departments, when highly educated people, people holding highest ranks in the society and in the government, people who should be exemplary to the normal man, have become corrupt? Corruption has spread not like cancer, but like blood, throughout the system. What is the use, if there are few, common people, who want to be honest and sincere. It is not enough if one; Anna Hazare comes out and raises voice against corruption. It is us, common people,...

Is it true that the rich are getting richer and poor are getting poorer?

Yes, it is a fact that, rich are getting richer and poor are becoming poorer. The reason is money is not getting evenly distributed in the society. Only few people in the high level are retaining all the money, and are not allowing it to circulate. People who have money, are investing it, and are getting high returns. While the poor, are dying hard to earn mouthful. Employees are always dependent on pay checks, for their living and what they earn is hardly sufficient to meet the needs. The other main reason is that, ever increasing standard of living. All the prices right from the vegetables to fuel are always on raise. But, the income level is the same, on and off when the government employees go on a strike, their pay checks are increased as per pay revision. But, what about, those lakhs of people, working in the private sector and as daily labor. No one is there to listen to them and their problems. More over the increase in unemployment is another major factor, because...

Cell Phones Should Be Banned in Schools

Yes, cell phones should be definitely banned in schools, because, there is a time to use and purpose of use, for every instrument. School going students will be such an age, that they may get easily carried away by the features and applications of cell phones (such as games, music etc), but when it comes to its real usage, they really have any need. School going students will be having knowledge and may be fascinated about the features, such as chatting, music, games, etc. But, hardly will they be aware of the disastrous effects and dangerous consequences it can pose. Moreover, their main purpose to go to school is to devote their valuable time to studies, and to educate themselves. Allowing them to use cell phones, will only distract them from their objective, and make them waste their time. So, when there is no need, and dangers and ill affects many, for the welfare and for the good of the students, it is best to ban the use of cell phones in the school. ...

Reasons behind loss of interest in studies

The main reason, as to, why students are losing interest in studies is that, education is thrust upon them as some sort of burden, which they have to bear by compulsion, there is lot of pressure on the students from the college, and parents, as each and every parent wants to see their child as a ranker or as a topper, and corporate colleges are literally squeezing life out of students. Education is no more a self development tool, and a means to acquire worldly knowledge, it has become mere means of earning salary, and to keep oneself ahead in the bread winning race. Lecturers and professors are concerned with completing syllabus and parents are concerned with ranks and grades, but no one is really bothered as to what the student is gaining. Students are expected just to mug up the syllabus and literally vomit it in the exams, nothing else, there is no scope for them to contemplate on the ideas, understand the real concept behind the subject, they are not given the freedom even to ex...

Role of Women in Shaping Society

Women, have a major role in shaping the society, take for example, the great warrior Shivaji, time and again we hear that his mother used to teach him great tales of warriors, and idle persons, and that she played a major role in guiding him and shaping him, as a great person. Though the responsibility of bringing up children is equal to both parents, mother is considered to play a very important role, as she spends more time with children and takes care of them. Today’s children are future citizens of this country, and the way we bring up our children, and shape their character is very important, for the future of the society and the nation as a whole. It is the mother, who teaches a child what is right, what is wrong, what should be the behavior pattern, ethics, morals, fear of and love for God and elders. Each and every thing mother has to teach the child, so directly and indirectly, women has a major role to play in shaping the future citizens, better persons and t...

Just, One More Independence Day?

Since independence, so many independence days have come and gone, but when we compare, this independence day with the previous years, can we proudly say that our country has prospered than the previous year’s independence day, our citizens have become, better in the social responsibilities, our politicians have become more concerned about the progress of the people and the nation. As long as we have the attitude, of August 15th, as one more holiday in the list of holidays, or as other festive seasons one more reason for business men to offer discounts and to increase the sales, one really wonders, as to where, as a nation, we are heading to. We don’t just become a great nation, when yearly once, on the Independence Day we remember, the freedom fighters, gandhian principles, watch flag hoisting on television, or participate in flag hoisting as a formality at our offices or work places, and claim ourselves to be great nation lovers. A country becomes great, when its people b...

What is money, really?

The question about the money sounds simple, but too difficult to have a best fit answer. In economic terms money the thing having value of general acceptability. It has value of exchange; you can purchase goods and services using the money. In the world, it is the most precious thing after all valuable to goods and services. Money is the best tool to measure the value of the things available in the market. It also completes the definition applicable for rich and poor. In economics, the marginal utility of money defines the value of the money for the person of different status and class. Being the best medium of exchange for trade, money is everything. The value of a diamond is nothing if it is not measured with the value its costs against money. Evaluation of money shows that the concept of money has been changed with the changes in the society and needs. From the form of animals as money to bullion money, and later on it reached stage of paper money or popularly known as currency. ...

Life Of ‘Thought’

If life can be compared to a plant, Seeds are our thoughts, they are the origin and foundation, of the life we want to live, you plant only those seeds of which you want a plant, if you want an apple tree, you sow apple seed, if you want a neem tree you sow neem seed. Same applies to life, what kind of thoughts you have today, this very minute are the determining factors of your life for tomorrow. If you want a life filled with success, and happiness you need to have those kinds of thoughts, if you are worried or fearful about something, remember you are sowing those very seeds which you don’t want, and eventually you will have your fears manifested in life. If you are highly ambitioned person, and want to scale heights in life, all that you need to do is to be careful with your thoughts. Always try and sustain only those thoughts which help you realize your dreams and move ahead in life. What you sow so you reap is an age old saying that is true even today an...

Most of us are busy spending our lives with day to day matters, but what matters is, are we able to find any worthwhile reason or cause that will matter to us or for others, that will give a meaning to the life we are leading.
